I'm sorry about the delay, but finally, the new episode, "Part 3-6. Pitch Accent of Katakana Words" has been published for paid members.
Most Katakana words share the same meaning as the original words, so I think it is easy for you to use Katakana words.
But the problem is, that people tend to pronounce them with the original pronunciation, especially if the Katakana words came from their own language.
And oftentimes, the original pronunciation sounds quite different from Japanese pronunciation, which makes you sound unnatural in Japanese even though you’re pronouncing it correctly.
Of course, it’s your choice to use the original pronunciation.
But the thing is when Japanese people can’t hear a word with sounds that are not used in Japanese, they tend to think your Japanese pronunciation is unnatural.
So in order to sound natural in Japanese, it’s best to pronounce Katakana words as they are written in katakana.
That includes adding a vowel after each consonant and saying them clearly with the correct pitch accent.
Actually, this is the easiest way to make yourself sound natural because even a high-level speaker’s katakana words don't always sound like katakana.
